As one of the deliverables in prepraration for the third riparian workshop, a "footprint" map of already completed mapping efforts was prepared, including associated metadata for eventual comparisons of different classification and delineation approaches.

Dataset was extracted from the following sources: Department of Fish and Game, National Wetlands Inventory, CA Gap Analysis Project, Sacramento River Riparian Mapping Project, Fire and Resource Assessment Program.
Data selection process for each source:
Department of Fish and Game (DFG): The dataset was queried for values of 'Riparian Woody' from the table 'dfgwetlands.lut'. Dataset was converted from a grid to shapefile format.
National Wetlands Inventory (NWI): Features were selected within 150 feet from all streams and queried for values of 'PSS' and/or 'PFO'.
CA Gap Analysis Project (GAP): The dataset was queried for values of 'Desert Riparian', 'Montane Riparian' & 'Valley-Foothill' from the 'landcov.whrtypes' table. Dataset was converted from a coverage to a shapefile.
Sacramento River Riparian Mapping Project (SRRMP): The dataset consist of all Riparian along the Sacramento River.
Fire and Resource Assessment Program (FRAP): The dataset was queried for values of 'DRI', 'MRI', 'POS' and 'RIV'. Dataset was converted from a grid to shapefile.
All 5 Sources have been merged and classified on the 'SOURCE' type for display purposes in the Atlas.
