The Structures Maintenance database has undergone modifications in 1997, including the conversion of data to the metric numeric system (with exception of postmiles) and the removal of data attribute redundancy. The location of the bridges in this coverage are based on postmiles from the Caltrans HQ Structures Maintenance database. All data in this coverage was imported from the Structures Maintenance database. The items in the Point Attribute Table (PAT) are a partial list of the items in the Structures Maintenance database. For more information about this database, contact the Caltrans GIS Service Center. The bridges in this coverage were placed with dynamic segmentation and are based on the postmiles in the Caltrans HQ Structures Maintenance database. Bridges with inaccurate postmile information were not placed in this coverage. Additional corrections are underway and the coverage will be updated when finished.

Completeness_Report:

This coverage is updated annually . The Structures Maintenance database is continually updated. Users of this coverage should take note that state highway bridges entered into the Structures Maintainance database after the latest coverage update will not be represented in the coverage.
